About
Dermal Fillers

What are Dermal fillers and how does it work?

Dermal fillers revitalise and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look. Dermal fillers are soft injectable gels consisting of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid.

What is the difference between dermal fillers and profhilo

Whilst traditional dermal fillers also contain hyaluronic acid, the key difference between the two treatments is that Profhilo doesn't add volume or change the structure of the face.

What is the difference between botox and dermal fillers?

Botox contains purified bacteria that freeze muscles. In doing so, Botox can help minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. Dermal fillers contain ingredients that add fullness to areas that have thinned due to ageing. This thinning is common in the cheeks, lips, and around the mouth.

Is there any side effects or complications with Dermal Fillers?

Being injected with dermal fillers poses some risks. The most common side effects include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, and itching. Additional side effects include infections, lumps and bumps.

How long does the treatment last?

Just like any other skincare procedure, individual results will vary. Most  dermal fillers can last for 7 to 12 months

What do I need to know after the treatment?

Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, microdermabrasion, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks after treatment.

What are the areas that Dermal Fillers treat?

- Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses)

- Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples.

- Diminish vertical lip lines.

- Plump & enhance the lips.

- Smooth out a chin crease.
