Thread Lifts

What is the Thread Lifts procedure??

A thread lift is a type of procedure wherein temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible "lift" in the skin. Instead of removing the patient's loose facial skin surgically, the cosmetic surgeon simply suspends it by stitching up portions of it.

What are the benefits of thread lifts?

Thread lifts help stimulate collagen production, resulting in more youthful-looking skin. In addition, the threads pull your face taut, eliminating wrinkles and giving you an overall smoother appearance. The areas of your face where the threads are placed enjoy a sharp reduction in wrinkles and lines.

Why should you choose the Thread lift procedure?

Collagen can fill gaps in sagging skin and restore more youthful elasticity to your face. A small 2017 study suggested that the primary effect of a thread lift procedure is skin appearing tighter and more structured.

What are the different types of thread lifts and which one is Dr Carmen's preferred choice?

When it comes to the Thread lift Procedure. Dr Carmen and her team, choose only the best thread lifts for the clients. This is why we chose to partner with Aptos for our thread lifting needs. What should I expect after the thread lift procedure?

Experiencing slight discomfort in the first two days after the procedure is normal, will gradually reduce. Try keeping your head elevated for a week. Don't pull your facial skin, massage, scrub or exfoliate the skin for at least three weeks. You are also not supposed to wash or touch your face for at least 12 hours

How long does a thread lift last?

It's important to understand that while no lifting technique can produce permanent results, facelift surgery will usually produce longer-lasting results than a thread lift. The results of facelift surgery can last up to a decade, whereas a thread lift will generally last from one to three years.

What do I need to do before the thread lift procedure?

It helps in speeding the recovery process and providing the best treatment results. Avoid consuming omega fish oils, vitamin E, chilli ginseng, garlic, krill, and other such supplements at least two days before the treatment. It is best to avoid green and ginger teas as well.

How long does the treatment take to perform?

Although it is a quick and easy aesthetic treatment. Dr Carmen and her team prefer to make sure all procedures are done proficiently. This is why this Aesthetic Thread can take between 45 minutes to an Hour.

What are the after-effects of the procedure?

One of the many reasons that we love the thread lift treatment is that there is virtually no risk of scarring, severe bruising, bleeding or other complications after having a thread lift.

In rare cases, patients may experience irritation, infection or their sutures becoming visible under their skin
